What is a reasonable price for enough solar panels to feed a large number of apartments and other buildings?
I am doing a project school and we need ways to be green. I have to be a retirement community in Florida. I have 15 large villas, beach houses three 3 restaurnats, swimming pool, gymnasium, jacuzzi, sauna, grocery stores, gas station, and several offices. They do not have all that power I would not be as green as possible. You may also suggestions on good ways to go green.
I would like to see this in a different approch. 1. being that this is Florida, I would begin with the use of photovoltaic energy in houses in combination with a pair of small peak wind turbines mounted (oynot.com sources solardyne.com, sunwize.com and so on). 2. condominium are different. so generally have flat roofs for the turbines would be out of the issue and thus PV. Instead I would use solar panals clamp and try to save energy in other areas of the building. 3. the pool is easy. your in Florida, unless you want it to cool in summer and warm in the winter, then just run water through a condenser which is located in a loop solar water heater. and answers also apply to others. But the best ans is thinking about it before build, build with the environment, and a plan for construction to be rational.
