If I add 4 12V big fans of my ceiling fan and the power that a solar panel, it will make a difference?
I would like to build 4x 12VDC computer fans on my roof for ventilation. These are connected in parallel to a solar panel of 12 V (power depending on the size of the fans). I know this will only work during the day, but that's really all I need. My question is that it makes a difference in temperature in the attic or am I wasting my time. In fact, I do not want to spend $ 300 from a pre-made kit and have to replace the vent.
We had a lot of ventilation to ours, and be amazed at how much cooler the house is. Years later, the house was still fresh, but when I went to see the fan, I found that the solar panel had been burned, and the fan was not moving. Apparently, just having a great vent near the mountain, even without forced air, is enough to make a big difference. If I had to do it again, I would put one of those outputs of wind power, the kind that looks like a turban, up there. In our neighborhood, things have been on the roofs of people for like 20 years. They were rusty, but I still see the turning in the breeze. If you really want to use the existing ventilation, perhaps consider one of the very powerful attic fans, which is connected to AC. You only need to run low, or maybe just for a few minutes to clean hot air.
