How much bandwidth of wifi?
This is the situation to push a large amount of data over my network and need to know if I can do this in wireless so I'm trying to calculate my bandwidth. Assume that everyone can do 54Mps WAP and is connected to a 10/100 switch. Does each host connects to it has a full 54Mbs WAP link (like a switch) or a portion of the link 54Mbs (like a hub)? This undoubtedly come into play if I were broadcasting or multicast traffic. Would more support WAP? If I have more WAP how it affected a wireless connection when traveling through our town? Finally, it is wireless or Half Duplex Full Duplex traffic? So to be clear, I'm installing wireless access points around my place WRT54G is not alone in having an Internet connection.
You only need 54 Mbps in ideal conditions, like the two antennas are almost touching. Wireless is half to share the media to both sides, so it will be divided between the active devices. If there was a point of access for each device that would be better. You can travel without problems depending on your architecture and coverage, but can not be a simple web-based configuration.
