Energy shortages, What ???!?

listening to Rush today made a good point that had to do here. Obama wants to put counters smart in our homes, "so the song are controlling energy consumption is what they want. But why, the effects of power shortages? How does this effect or freedom and liberty? Why do this? it's pretty obvious that is to look at energy consumption and fight it or say no. Imagine, going to control how hot or cold your house is! Will it apply to other appliances!? heat, water, does it stop at nothing to tax us? each sent soon makes Every Breath You Take. so they are trying to conserve energy by monitoring and control of our freedoms and liberty. (now this is the point raised Rush) - where electricity is so little funding why are electric cars??!

i seems highly unlikely that run once made a good point. < > That's not the purpose of smart meters. The goal of smart meters is to charge more for electricity used at peak demand. and less for electricity used in times of low demand. as I said, I have yet to hear a good point that haste has. reason to charge more for peak demand is that the service organization public has to keep generating capacity to supply peak power. but most days / year, that part of the generation capacity is not is used. He sits idol. but the company has to pay the bonds used for construction. what they want to do is the people who have been motivated to build the plant to pay extra. that is an idea that makes perfect sense to me. if I cause the greatest expenditure, then they should pay more.
