I know that the cost of monocrystalline solar cells more that the polycrystalline solar panels, but that one of them will last longer?, and filtered through time? and fade with time? what I mean for leaks, moisture below the glass.
I do not I have at home, if no one else here can answer then it might be the best you'll get: / I've done a little research on solar panels (which develop CdTe rather than silicon, but we have worked with groups of laboratory use made of silicon). most solar panels degrade slightly over time (a common cause is because solar cells are based on a cross, shakes and thermal energy of the atoms and can mix their doping so that the quality of union drops slightly over time). Overall, more grain boundaries of crystal speed rate degradation as polycrystalline panels should degrade faster than the crystal (although other mechanisms of deterioration are dominant and the system is stable, then the difference is small). In general, the panels are well sealed against the elements in particular should not disappear. Keep the glass is reasonably clean good for the exit. What do you mean 'escape'? silicon panels are solid state devices, unless you're planning on heating hundreds of degrees that will remain solid and should not "leak"! When I say polycrystalline cells must degrade faster than crystal, which is all relative. Most solar panels will be secured somewhere between 20-30 years and during that period not less than 80% of rated power (many must degrade even less). EDIT: The moisture under the crystal is not a problem I've heard so much (but my experience is with the laboratory technology devices have grown especially in time of full scale of the real world!). In principle there should be a big problem, typically the cells are "sandwich" between two layers of glass that is then tightly closed. There is a possibility of leakage, in the same way double glazing might leak from time to time. This effect should not be so different between cells mono-and poly-crystal and must be taken into account when they give you 20-30yr guarantee!
