What's involved in repairing my pool heater gas line and general cost.?
I sliced it with a shovel. It's orange PVC type 1" diameter and the slice is only 1" long across.
Sounds like a Polypropylene type pipe. You will need someone with either a butt fusion or a socket fusion kit to put in a coupling. You will also need enough dirt cleared so as to give the existing pipe enough flexibility to get the coupling on as well as the fusion heater.
Have you tried your local gas municipality? They are very good about doing these thing - often at no cost! It is worth a call.
