if the sun spins at 220 km/s and acherner spins at 225-300km/s why is there such a great difference in the equ?
I know that density is involved but such a great difference is just completely unexpected, i am trying to get data on flattening for my solar generator program that i am going to use with my game....
if the sun spins at 220 km/s and acherner spins at 225-300km/s why is there such a great difference in the equatorial bulge?
sorry for not being precise on my question earlier..
i am after why the speed is similar but the flattening is very different
Rotational speed of the Sun is only 2 km/s at the equator
(7200 km / h).
It does move at about 250 km/s in its orbit around the centre of the Milky Way.
