Solar Sun Rings VS Solar Sun Discs - What is the difference between these solar pool covers?
We have been looking for more information about these two products. We are excited to get one - we just want to find out as much as we can about them before we purchase one of these products to replace our solar swimming pool cover.
Hi, solar sun rings and solar sun discs seem very similar. Although I don’t have any personal experience with the solar sun discs, I do have experience with the solar sun rings. I had purchased the sun rings last year for my swimming pool and I wasn’t very pleased. First of all the sun rings did not, I repeat DID NOT, cover my pool. In the pictures on the website the sun rings look like they cover the pool very well, but they didn’t fit my pool properly. I was also disappointed in the way the rings were made. They were almost impossible to get them to lay flat in the pool. I also thought that they were a little flimsy. I wish that I had known more about the product before spending money on them.
As far as the sun discs are concerned I am eager to see if they work as advertised. They pretty much seem to be everything the sun rings aren’t. They are durable, easy to use, and provide great coverage of the pool. I found this great website http://www.poolsupplyworld.com/blog/article/Solarsunringsvssolarsundiscscomparison/ that has a great comparison between these products. They look pretty legit so I am eager to give them a try. I’ll definitely post a follow up as soon as I get these in the water.
